Preferred Apartment: If possible, I'd like her put with Nathan Drake!
Character Name: Elena Fisher
Canon: Uncharted
Canon Point: After Elena takes Nate to the airport, but before he returns from saving Sully
Background/History: History link!
Personality:
Elena is a rather friendly person. She's easily likeable, she's tough and independent, and she's rather trusting of others. It takes a lot for her to think harshly about people, and she's willing to give second chances. She does this with most of the game's cast, but it's especially significant when it comes to Harry. She was willing to forgive him and help him, even when he was an enemy. Even though he had tried to kill them multiple times and he worked with a man than killed someone close to her, she still had it in her heart to try and help him. It is possible for her to dislike people, though. Her and Drake didn't get along very well at first (mostly because he ditched her), and neither did her and Chloe. Her dislike for Chloe started more as jealousy, but Chloe's willingness to leave Jeff behind when he was injured turned her against the female, to the point she was willing to leave her behind. Eventually they bond, though, showing that it's hard for her to dislike people for long.
As friendly as she can be, Elena knows when to be serious. She also isn't afraid to tell someone what's on her mind, especially when that someone is Nate. But when needed, she can be very supportive. She pokes Nate in the right direction multiple times, giving him encouragement to help him along. She's also not afraid to joke around, again showing her fun and friendly side.
She's definitely smart and a quick learner. She's fond of history, knowing a good chunk of what Nate actually rambles about. She's insightful, too, picking up on the clues and not just following along for the adventure, but solving the puzzles along with Nate. She had her own TV show, showing that she actually does like history, but also an keen interest on solving the puzzles of the past. She even knows multiple languages, such as Tibetan and Arabic.
She isn't one to sit back and let things happen. Elena got her start in the show business by participating in a survival TV reality show, not unlike Survivor, and coming in second. When Nate and Sully ditch her not long after their meeting, she gets a jeep and follows after them, even though she had no idea what she would find, showing her stubbornness in situations. Even though she knew they tried to leave her behind, she followed them anyway, refusing to accept that she would get left out. Because of this, and on many other occasions, her refusal to stay behind leads to her saving the lives of others in the group. Even when she disagrees with going after treasures, she still has Nathan's back when it comes down to it. Her journalism carrier shows her persistence, as well. In Uncharted 2, she's trying to prove that a war criminal is still alive and follows him into war-stricken areas, just to find the evidence she needs.
Between the different games, Elena also matures in several ways. Firstly, in her career. When Nate first met her, she was just a tabloid reporter, even though she had her own reality TV show. By the second game, she moved up to actual, real journalism, involving her traveling into many dangerous places and situations. Through this, as well as from her first adventure with Nate, she learned how to approach dangerous situations, so by the second game, she isn't quite so fast to jump into things. She thinks things through a little more, taking her time if she can. By Uncharted 3, she's moved up the ranks even more and works as an international news correspondent in Yemen. The significant changes that occurred between the games are Nathan and Elena's relationship. Sometime after the second game, the two were married. Due to Nathan's obsessions about his jobs, the two separated. It isn't that Elena doesn't approve of treasure hunting. What she doesn't approve of is the high risk adventures that he's so known to go on and the obsessive level that he goes after them with. After nearly dying in Shambala, she recognizes the risks taken with that job, and while she has no plans to go back to the States to live a normal life, she doesn't see the point of putting their lives on the line for treasures that may or may not exist.
Abilities/Powers: Elena doesn't have any overly special abilities, but she's pretty handy with a gun. She agile enough to follow Nate on his crazy adventures, but also smart enough to keep up with the historical aspects and even outsmart Drake several times.
Items/Weapons: Elena will arrive with her Para 9 pistol, her Yemen news correspondent's badge, and her wedding ring.
